Account information: When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your actual password).
Résumés and documents: If you upload a résumé, it is stored securely in encrypted cloud storage and used only to power your job matching and document generation. Résumés are automatically deleted after 90 days. Generated documents are deleted after 30 days.
Search and usage data: We log the job searches you perform and documents you generate to enforce your plan limits and improve the service.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number — Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
Technical data: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and debugging purposes.
We use your information to: provide and improve the WatsyJobs service; personalize job search results and AI-generated documents; send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription updates); enforce plan limits; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. This is a core principle of how we operate — not a policy we'll change.
We share your data only with the service providers necessary to operate WatsyJobs:
Supabase — database hosting (your account data and job search history)
AWS — secure file storage for résumés
Anthropic — AI document generation (your résumé and job description are sent to generate tailored documents)
Stripe — payment processing
Resend — transactional email delivery
All providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Résumés are deleted after 90 days. Generated documents are deleted after 30 days. You may delete your account at any time, which will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may do this through your account settings or by emailing us at hello@watsyjobs.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We use only functional cookies necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
WatsyJobs is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Your continued use of WatsyJobs after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
